FAILURE

 

When you've messed up...

 

The Lord directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives. Though they stumble, they will never fall, for the Lord holds them by the hand.

Psalm 37: 23-24

 

When you're feeling inadequate...

 

Not a single sparrow can fall to the ground without your Father knowing it. And the very hair on your heads are all numbered. So don't be afraid; you are more valuable to God than a whole flock of sparrows. (oh Yes! can I hear an AMEN???)

God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and sel-discipline.

When you're ready to try again...

 

I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.

FAITH

 

When you're wondering why faith is important...

 

Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see.

Hebrews 11:1

 

FAITHFULNESS

 

When you question God's faithfulness...

 

God is not a man, so He does not lie. He is not human, so He does not change His mind. Has He ever spoken and failed to act? Has He ever promised and not carried it through?

Numbers 23:19

 

When you've been unfaithful to God...

 

If we are unfaithful, He remains faithful, for He cannot deny who He is.

2 Tomothy 2:13

 

Great is His faithfulness; His mercies begin afresh each morning.

Lamentations 3:23

 

 

FEAR

 

When your worst fears come true...

 

When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you.

Isaiah 4: 3-2

 

When you're in danger...

 

The Lord is my light and my salvation- so why should I be afraid? The Lord is my fortress, protecting me from danger, so why should I tremble?... Though a mighty army surrounds me, my heart will not be afraid. Even if I am attavked, I will remain confident.

Psalm 27: 1-3

 

When you're feeling alone and vulnerable...

 

Don't be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.

Isaiah 41:10

 

When you must confront your fears...

 

See, God has come to save me. I will trust in Him and not be afraid. The Lord God is my strength and my song; He has given me victory.

Isaiah 12:2

 

 

FORGIVENESS

 

When you feel your sins are too horrible and too many to forgive...

 

The Lord is slow to anger and filled with unfailing love , forgiving every kind of sin and rebellion.

Numbers 14:18

 

I-yes, I alone- will blot out your sins for my own sake and will never think of them again.

Isaiah 43:25

 

When you need to forgive someone else...

 

When you're praying, first forgive anyone you are holding a grudge against, so that your Father in heaven will forgive your sins too.

Mark 11:25

 

Make allowance for each other's faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others.

Colossians 3:13

 

 

FREEDOM

 

When you're feeling trapped in a sinful way of life...

 

Sin is no longer your master, for you no longer live under the requirements of the law. Instead, you live under the freedom of God's grace.

Romans 6:14

 

 

FRUITFULNESS

 

When you want to be used by God to accomplish His work...

 

The godly will flourish like palm trees and grow strong like the cedars of Lebanon. For they are transplanted to the Lord's own house. They flourish in the courts of our God. Even in old age thehy will still produce fruit; they will remain vital and green.

Psalm 92: 12-14

 

 

FUTURE

 

When you're worried about the future...

 

"I know the plans I have for you", says the Lord. "They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope."

Jeremiah 29:11

 

Don't worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today's trouble is enough for today.

Matthew 6:34

 

When you're planning for the future...

 

The Lord says " I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you".

Psalm 32:8

 

You guide me with your counsel, leading me to a glorious destiny.
