This poem helped me soooo much and still does everytime I read it.
I hope you will all start enjoying the Romantic Desert! :-)
Be blessed!
I am in the romantic desert,
Where I can't have a man for dessert,
Where I am invisible to those I like
But more than visible to those I dislike,
Where I could use some companionship
But instead all that guys can offer is friendship.
I'm stuck in this place,
Where I can't meet a new face,
Where the one that I do encounter
Has nothing but drama to offer.
He is cute, smart, and tall,
But he is just not with it at all.
I just want a man,
Who will serve as my significant other,
But it seems that every man
Is either married or living with his partner.
I cry out to the Lord:
"What is this horrible place,
Where the goods are unavailable?
There is no one, not even one.
I can't even get a date,
A look, or an impressive compliment."
And light is shed on the nature of the desert,
Turning this barren place into a sweet dessert.
The desert is here to keep me focused
On the Man who won't make me confused.
The desert is there to build me up
Into the woman He can lift up.
The desert is here to make me a wife.
It is actually here to better my life.
In Letters From God, by a beautiful and strong woman of God, my cousin Nya Huguette Ebama.
Do yourself a favor, go out there and buy her book! So worth it!
Go and Flourish! ;-)
